Job Description  

This senior role includes participating in AVYCI Solution’s technical challenges associated with analyzing, designing/developing/implementing Microsoft’s BI centric solutions (e.g., data warehouse, data marts, dashboards, scorecards, cubes, drill-downs, drill through and dynamic reports, ETL, workflow, enterprise content management) to meet client information based demands. 

Responsibilities 

• Mentor AVYCI junior developers and business analysts.
• Partner with client stakeholders to assess and design appropriate BI dashboards, information delivery solutions, scorecards, cubes, drill-downs, drill through, sub reports and dynamic reports to meet information needs.
• Translate client stakeholder deliverables into project methodology deliverables that result in a design, such as functional specifications, design documents, use cases, work flow/process diagrams, data flow & data model diagrams.
• Assist in the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for designing/developing BI/Data Warehouse objects.
• Engage in efforts associated with development of data warehouse/marts, logical and physical data model/database, table and interface design, ETL packages and processes, information delivery solutions, BI reporting/OLAP cubes/OLAP and population and tuning of databases/ETL processes/BI reports/queries while meeting business/user requirements.
• Engage in efforts to design and analyze reports using SSRS, SSIS SSAS and Performance Point.
• Engage in activities to design an overall BI architecture, data warehouse, datamarts, enterprise content management, and BI reports which will support various client data initiatives.
• Develop custom reports using MDX, ETL design and development, and overall support of reporting tools and processes.
• Engage in efforts to establish role based access to BI objects.
• Engage in efforts to integrate active directory with reporting objects when necessary.
• Design and develop extremely reliable, scalable and high performing reporting objects.
• Oversee and ensure quality of the code using code quality tools and/or standards by leveraging code review sessions.
• Provide recruitment support to ensure that the “right” talent is hired based on practice needs.  This includes participating in the interview process, as needed.
• Participate in regular conference calls with various internal and external teams.
• Participate in regularly scheduled AVYCI meetings.

Skills & Experience 

• Proven BI thought leadership, selling and enabling ideas to fully exploit Microsoft BI tools and techniques within a consulting environment.
• Provide thought leadership within areas to build out enterprise content management solutions.
• Proven track record within Data Warehouse design / deployment, experience using Star Schemas, reporting and analytics for enterprise data warehouse implementations with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
• Collaborates effectively with the Business users translating their requirements into an effective design specification. 
• Strong SQL skills required.
• Demonstrated expertise in concepts underlying varied design techniques and the trade-offs required between the approaches.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio suite of tools including BIDS.
• Ability to do technical writing, requirements documentation, support documentation, and training documentation.
• Experience with Data Modeling tools and Large Data Warehouses.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related course of studies, or equivalent experience.
